David Popovici, ales cel mai bun înotător european al anului 2025
David Popovici a fost desemnat cel mai bun înotător din Europa în 2025, conform anunțului European Aquatics, după ce a câștigat aurul mondial la 100 m liber și 200 m liber, precum și aurul continental la U-23 în aceleași probe. De asemenea, el deține recordul european la 100 m liber. Popovici a obținut aproape 38% din voturile publicului, devansându-l pe francezul Léon Marchand, câștigătorul din 2024, care a strâns 31,52%. La feminin, titlul a fost câștigat de olandeza Marrit Steenbergen.
